Taking care of your vision is an important aspect of your preventative annual health plan. You may also experience discomfort or concerns with your eyes or vision and need a medical exam. Just as you visit your family doctor for an annual check-up, you should visit your eye doctor for a check-up for your eyes.
Scheduled appointments are recommended however, walk-ins are welcome. We will do our best to work you in the same day's schedule. Please inform us if you are in need of urgent care. Medical emergencies will be seen same day and we are willing to stay late to assist patients in need.
Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment to complete some brief but necessary paperwork. Our services are not limited to the list below.
Vision insurance may cover some portion of the cost for comprehensive eye exams and/or contact lens fittings but NOT medical eye exams or foreign body removals.

Diabetes can harm your eyes and affect your vision. It can damage the small blood vessels in your retina - the back wall of your eyeball. This condition is called diabetic retinopathy. Diabetes also increases your risk of glaucoma and other eye problems. Dr. Paey can catch problems early if you get regular eye exams. This is very important! Often times the early stages of diabetic retinopathy don't present any symptoms or changes in vision. Only an eye exam can detect the problem so that steps can be taken to prevent loss of vision.
These comprehensive exams are offered for children ages 4 through 18 years. Our fees are discounted for these exams. The discount also extends for contact lens evaluations.
**Between August 1 and October 1 we offer back-to-school exams with an additional discount (including contact lens evaluations.)
A basic contact lens exam includes a fitting for spherical daily, two-week, or monthly contact lenses, including colored contact lenses as well as a comprehensive eye exam. You will receive a written prescription for contact lenses, usually with a two-year expiration date, and an eyeglass prescription. This also includes a trial pair of contact lenses and 60 days of follow-up care.
*Please note MONO VISION fittings, one eye set for distance, the other eye for near, are commonly considered a specialty fit and charged as such. However, our office does NOT considered it a specialty fit and you will only be charged our standard fitting fee.
**We will teach first-time wearers how to insert and remove the contact lenses, and give detailed instruction regarding your wearing schedule and care of the lenses.

60 days of follow-up care.

Hard or Gas-Permeable Contact Lens Exams
These exams are only offered for those patients who are currently
wearing these types of lenses.
Medical Eye Exams
A medical eye exam produces a diagnosis, like conjunctivitis, severe dry eye, corneal abrasions or infection, to mention a few. These exams may involve assessing vision loss, treating eye pain or following up on existing medical conditions. This exam is different from a routine eye exam and not covered by vision insurance.
Foreign Body Removal
A foreign body is an object in your eye that shouldn't be there; such as a speck of dust, a wood chip, a metal shaving, an insect, or a piece of glass. Once Dr. Paey locates the foreign body, she will gently remove it after numbing the eye with anesthetic eye drops.
